Assurance of Salvation

“Salvation is dependent upon faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, crucified for all of our sins, and resurrected. (1st Corinthians 15:14). Salvation is NOT dependent upon our continued faithfulness, or upon our repentance from sins, or upon our good works of discipleship. Salvation is a PERMANENT FREE GIFT from God. It is all about the God-man Jesus’ good, holy, and sinless life of love, and about His sacrificial death for the forgiveness of all human sins and His resurrection on the third day. Once a person simply believes in Jesus as Savior, he or she is saved, has eternal life (John 6:47) irrevocably (“the gifts and call are irrevocable”), has salvation, has forgiveness of all sins past, present and future, is guaranteed to go to Heaven at death, and is indwelled and sealed FOREVER by God the Holy Spirit. See Ephesians 1:13,14.”
