Why the World Hates Jesus

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” –Jesus, in John 7:7

The world hates Jesus because Jesus represents to them a condemnation of their evil works.

The world wants a Jesus of their imagination. A Jesus that does not tell them that what they are doing is wrong or evil.

The favorite Bible verse of the sinner who does not want to turn from his or her evil ways is: “Don’t judge me.”

The world wants a Jesus who will not tell them that they are doing bad things.

That is not the Jesus of the Bible.

This is why there are false Christs.

People invent them.

“What I Believe,” by Curtis Smale

What I Believe:

GOD: Holy Trinity: God is Three Persons in One Being: God.
The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
There are Three Persons in One God. God is Self-Existing (Aseity.)

CREATION: God created the universe in six 24-hour days about 6,000 years ago.

SIN: Humanity fell into sin by disobeying God in the Garden of Eden.

ANGELIC BEINGS: There is a real person, Satan, who tried to usurp God’s authority and became evil, taking many angels with him. Angels are usually invisible.

There are many good angels that did not fall into evil and rebellion against God.

God chose individuals throughout history to represent Him: Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah, and others.

FLOOD: God destroyed most life on earth in a global Flood, saving only Noah and his family to restart humanity.

LAW: God instituted the Law under Moses, which was a system of rewards and punishments. Also, God instituted animal sacrifices to cover the sins of His Old Testament people in advance of the efficacious sacrifice of Christ Jesus Himself on the Cross.

FAITH: Abraham was “the father of faith,” believing God through very difficult circumstances.

SCRIPTURE: The Bible, 66 books, was written by men who were inspired by God over many years. The Bible is inspired, inerrant and infallible, and is preserved by God.

ISRAEL: Jacob’s children, the children of Israel, were God’s Covenant people in the Old Testament. This was the people which contained the human ancestors of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

SALVATION: Jesus Christ is true God and true man. Out of love, God sent Jesus to rescue mankind from its awful hellish destiny apart from Him.

Jesus’ sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross for the forgiveness of all sins, His burial, and His resurrection, are the Gospel: 1st Corinthians 15:1-4. Anyone who believes in Jesus as Savior even for a moment, has forgiveness and eternal life (justification), and is irrevocably destined for Heaven at death (eternal security).

SANCTIFICATION: By faith in Christ who is our perfect goodness (Sanctification), believers are made holy in practical life (growing in Grace).

END TIMES AND ETERNITY: Jesus Christ will return to Earth to judge humanity, resurrecting everyone from the dead, sending believers to Heaven and unbelieving sinners to Hell to be justly punished forever in eternal and everlasting conscious punishment, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually for their unforgiven sins.

Believers will live forever with Jesus in Heaven and on the remade new Earth, Jesus and believers, and Heaven and Earth, united together.

Who Are The Biggest False Teachers/Preachers?

image

The biggest false teachers/preachers/churches are: the Roman Catholic Church (some within this church are saved, if they trust in Jesus alone without relying on any good works), The Lutheran Church (which I grew up in), (and almost all Reformed and Calvinist Churches), Billy Graham, John MacArthur, and John Piper.

There are many, MANY other False Gospel Teachers who teach that SALVATION comes by ~repenting from sins~ and a ~commitment~ to ~lifelong discipleship~. These all teach WORKS RIGHTEOUSNESS salvation. But the Bible says that salvation is a FREE GIFT received through faith in Jesus.

People think these churches and preachers are conservative and respectable, but they are deadly. Jesus said: “MANY false prophets will appear and DECEIVE MANY PEOPLE.” (Matthew 24:11), and Galatians chapter one puts -two- damnation curses on anyone who preaches a False Gospel.

The Gospel is found in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4: “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the Gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”

Notice that there is no mention of repentance of sins or discipleship included as the way to be saved. These are NOT part of the saving Gospel.

The Bible clearly says that salvation is “not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:9)

Everyone who believes in Jesus alone, without relying on his or her good works to be saved, has everlasting life. (John 6:47: Most assuredly, I say to you, he [or she] who believes in Me HAS everlasting life.”)

The Number One False Doctrine in the American “Christian” Church

The number one doctrinal menace in the American “Christian” church is… Lordship “Salvation.”

The reason that Lordship Salvation (L.S.) is the worst thing ever to happen to the church is that it is a False Gospel. (See Paul the apostle’s double damnation curse on those who preach a False Gospel in Galatians 1:8,9)

L.S. teaches that, in order to be saved, you need to do more than simply believe in the God-man Jesus as your Savior from sin, crucified and resurrected. L.S. says that you need to repent of your sins (stop doing them–which is a good work) and also that you need to commit yourself to a life of discipleship good works. Wrong! Damnably wrong! Double damnably wrong!

Billy Graham teaches this message, and Billy Graham is wrong, because Billy Graham disagrees with The New Testament, with Jesus’ own words, and with over 150 Bible verses that say that salvation is received simply by BELIEVING IN JESUS.

Jesus said in John 6:47: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who ~believes~ in Me ~has~ everlasting life.”

If people are trusting in their own good works to save them, which is what Lordship salvation teaches, then they are not saved.

Jesus is the only Savior.

MOST Christian teachers today preach repentance from sins and commitment to lifelong discipleship as conditions for salvation.

But the Bible says that salvation is a FREE GIFT.(Ephesians 2:8,9)

Some prominent false teachers today and an organization that teaches the Lordship False salvation are: JOHN MACARTHUR, JOHN PIPER, CHUCK MISSLER (deceased, but currently still on Christian radio), and CALVARY CHAPEL (founded by Missler).

Jesus said to beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing.

Jesus was right, of course.

“Why Are American Churches So Anemic?”

Two of the great deficiencies in modern American churches are: a lack of the sense of the holiness and majesty of God; and also, a lack of the sense of sin and confession of sin, which is essential in practical progression toward holiness and sanctification. The modern American church is interested in money, and therefore large numbers of people, customer-pleasing doctrine, and entertainment. But that is not the biblical purpose of the church and this is why some of the most spiritual people are turning from the circus of the modern American church to draw nearer to God personally and in small groupings, to pursue spiritual growth in Christ.

“What is the Difference Between Salvation and Fellowship with God?”

Many people today in various churches believe that something more than, “believe in Jesus” is needed for salvation. (This is the deadly false doctrine called, “Lordship Salvation” taught by the Roman Catholic Church, and by ~many~ Protestant churches today.” It is the number one lie of Satan.)

Some of the things that people believe they need to do to get saved or maintain being saved are:

1) “repentance from sins” (turning from sins)

2) being water baptized

3) attending church (or Mass),

4) avoiding big sins

5) doing good works of discipleship

6) loving your neighbor as yourself

7) forgiving people

8) giving money faithfully to the work of the church

9) being positive and joyful

10) knowing the Bible

11) raising good kids

12) being tolerant

13) attending Communion or Lord’s Supper regularly

Now these are all positive things, but you can’t get saved by doing ~any~ of them. These are all the works of ~men~.

~The Bible says very clearly, over and over, that no one can be saved by doing good works.~

~The Bible says very clearly, over and over, about 150 times, that the ~only~ thing that is necessary for a person to be saved is for that person to BELIEVE IN JESUS.~ The Philippian jailer asked Paul the apostle, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul answered: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:30,31)

Jesus said the same thing in John 3:16 and John 6:47:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” –John 3:16

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” –John 6:47

~Nothing else~ is required of you for you to be guaranteed of salvation, to be completely forgiven, to be transformed, and to be guaranteed to go to Heaven when you die.

Jesus did it ~all~.

Anything you add to believing in Jesus, anything else you are trusting in, in addition to Jesus, to be saved, creates a false Gospel that cannot save you.

If you add your good works or your discipleship to the Gospel of Jesus, it becomes a false Gospel (see Galatians chapter one).

~Trust in Jesus ~alone~ and you will be saved.~

Don’t make your good works or your discipleship or your ~repentance from sins~ or your water baptism part of salvation–they are not part of salvation.

*******

Secondly, we are only kept in ~fellowship~ with God through faith in Jesus.

Our good works done as believers, motivated by the Spirit of God, are ~not~ what saves us –they are ~not~ part of salvation, they are the ~result~ of salvation.

Only the perfect life, death and resurrection of Jesus can save us.

Doing sins does not damn us and doing good works does not save us.

Our sins have been forgiven by Jesus.

Our sins would have damned us, but they have ~all~ been paid for by Jesus’ dying on the cross.

Repentance means to “change your mind” and to realize that your are a sinner and that Jesus is God and Savior. The repentance spoken of in the Bible in association with salvation is not, “repent of your sins,” but, “repent” (change your mind about your unbelief–and believe in Jesus.)

The Bible ~never~ commands us to “repent of our sins” in order to be saved.

Certainly, changing our minds about sins and stopping doing sins is a good thing, but doing this will ~not~ save you.

Only believing in Jesus will save you.

The baptism that saves your soul is ~not~ water baptism, but ~spiritual~ baptism, where we are baptized into the death and resurrection of Christ, invisibly, at the moment of belief. (Romans 6:3-4)

Our attempts at being good, our good works and our avoidance of sinning does not qualify us for fellowship with God.

Only Jesus’ forgiveness and righteousness can qualify us for fellowship with God–only He makes us pure in the sight of God.

So here we see freedom in salvation through faith in Christ, and freedom in fellowship with God through faith in Christ.

Believe in Christ, and you will be saved.

(Another way of saying this is to “trust in Jesus as your Savior from sin and Hell.”)

If you believe in Jesus you will also be sanctified, if you follow the Spirit and do good works.

Only belief in Jesus saves anyone from their sins and from Hell.

Only believing in Jesus is the way to Heaven. (John 6:47; John 3:16; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 1:13,14; Ephesians 2:8,9)

4 Things Every Religion Has a Doctrine About

IMG_6355.PNG

Every religion on earth, and all throughout history, has a doctrine about each one of the following four things:

God

Morality

Reality

Salvation/Afterlife/Heaven

The question is, what is the truth about each of these four subjects?

The answers, according to the Bible, are:

God is the Creator of the Universe.

Morality is the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount.

Reality is that you are not God and that God is not part of the world.

Salvation from sin and Hell is found through faith in Jesus the crucified and risen Savior.

False religions have false answers to these questions.

These answers are God’s answers that He has revealed through His written Word.
