Bob Wilkin explicitly says that you are NOT saved if you believe the Gospel. His Grace Evangelical Society website even implies this in their statement of faith.
Wilkin says you are only eternally saved if you believe that Jesus promises eternal life.
The problem with this is that he explicitly empties his “message of life,” as he calls it, of Jesus’ death for our sins and His resurrection.
BUT—WHEN YOU BELIEVE THE GOSPEL FOUND IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:1-4, YOU AUTOMATICALLY BELIEVE IN JESUS, AND THEREFORE YOU AUTOMATICALLY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
Eternal life is not itself the Gospel, as Wilkin falsely teaches, nor is it part of the Gospel.
The Bible truth is, eternal life is the UNAVOIDABLE RESULT of believing the Gospel.
But if you believe Wilkin’s message of life to get eternal life, you might have the wrong Jesus, and you might reject His death for your sins, His burial, and His resurrection.
You might not believe that Jesus is God and man.
Yet Wilkin says you would still be saved.
The Gospel is: Jesus, the God-man, died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again according to the Scriptures. THIS is the Gospel that saves us eternally.
Wilkin says he believes the Gospel, just that it has nothing to do with saving us!
So, he calls what saves us, “the message of life.”
So, according to Wilkin, you could believe in a False Christ and have no belief in the Gospel of 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, and still be saved.
The BIBLE says that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)—not Wilkin’s “message of life.”
The apostle Paul never preached Wilkin’s message of life.
Paul preached the biblical Gospel.
