The Christian Life is More than Arguing Theology

Over the years, I have met some really great believers in Jesus. These are people who, when we come to a point of disagreement, because a belief is so dearly held—freak out.

I have had this happen a number of times, and it seems like people have to recognize what is Basic Christian Gospel Truth, and what things are either personal opinions or experiences, or preferences. Or, more importantly, deeply held spiritual insights.

We all need to be gracious toward the other believer who is growing (because that is, or should be, all of us). Otherwise, you come to fierce blows, because someone will attack someone’s opinion or insight or belief and it will really FEEL like they are “attacking your mother.”
