  1. Curtis,

I noticed after reading a lot of your posts, that you point out a wonderful truth—that even a single moment of faith in Christ is simply enough for salvation! All we have to do is simply BELIEVE (trust, rely, have confidence) in the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-4, that Jesus died for OUR sins, was buried, and on the third day arose again, according to the Scriptures, for our perfect justification) even for a moment, that it will cleanse and forgive us because of what HE has done on the cross! That real moment of faith! His faith that’s measured and dealt to us! Throw out the Calvinist and Seminary arguments from every direction that scream ‘real faith will persevere, and if it doesn’t, then that’s just another apostate without hope!’ No, that REAL moment of trust in the living Savior’s Blood, death, burial and resurrection is eternally sufficient!

But as you pointed out with the many who are ONLY followers of Jesus, their rest isn’t in the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior—it’s in anything less than that alone.

It scares me when I hear a preacher’s primary goal being that they want to make disciples of Christ—not because it’s unbiblical, no! But because of the implications. Because I know their definition of disciple may not perfectly correlate with BELIEVER. I am learning better now, as your post here highlighted, that for many
(Think Matthew 7), it’s much easier for many to DO good works than to REST in Christ alone, and the precious Blood He shed for all our individual sins.

But only by resting in Messiah will be sufficient, as it should be…
And no, I’m not growing tired of this truth. Others have proclaimed it, and it still needs to be proclaimed: Faith alone in Christ Alone!

Isn’t the Truth far simpler and infinitely better than we could ever devise on our own? Curtis, I don’t care about any theology like Calvinism, and I honestly don’t even want to use the phrase ‘Gospel of Grace,’ as many wolves are entering on their own for gain, and perverting it! I’m a simple man, and I just want to know Christ and Him crucified. At the end of the day, for preachers and listers alike, only the foundation of the Gospel will stand.

    Much love,
