What I find extremely interesting is that Paul’s Gospel has been active and verified from Heaven far longer than the entire nation of Israel existed, plus the patriarchs preceding it; or roughly equivalent? We’re talking over 2,000 years!
We all know it intellectually, but do we really grasp that it’s been two MILLENIUM since Christ’s resurrection? That’s a lot of grace for the world! Well, as the scriptures declare, God is taking His time because he wants us all to repent—He doesn’t want any of us to perish.
What’s amazing to me, is it’s always been the same ol’ message since the Garden—Grace through faith alone (in a precious violent sacrifice and a lot of blood shed!) for our forgiveness. We can talk Rahab, we can talk Samuel, or we can even talk Obadiah; they all point to the Son of God—The point remains, Jesus paid for ALL our sins. So let us all rest and rejoice in that this season, and nothing else!
This is the real Christmas miracle, and one to be shared. Jesus did it all, and all to Him we owe. Sin had left its crimson stain, but He washed us whiter than snow! (Not quite the lyrics but the point is there.) Believe and the work is done!
